The Dark Gray Skies: BANGON BATANGAS!

January 12, 2020 Sunday.

An ordinary day for us. A regular day and my first day going to church this 2020. All I knew is just a normal gray clouds above us. A normal gray skies that Is about to sends us a heavy rain perhaps after 30mins, that’s why we hurry up reaching the shrine. (Padre Pio-San Pedro), Or else the three of us will turn into basang sisiw before the mass get started.

We have no idea what is really going on .. but the skies frighten us. It looks like in a horrible movie scene I watched, and this one is above us. Every minute, lightning comes with a terrifying sounds, my entire body is shaking. I also feel nervous. I am afraid of lightning. The mass will start at 5:00pm yet the surrounding is going dark and darker. I keep myself calm, and look around. Some people inside the church are also scared while other are taking photo’s of the surroundings.

Until the priest show up calmly and he explained what is going on about the gray skies. We all saddened and afraid. Yet we PRAY peacefully to keep us safe, and Prayer for All Batangueños.

Lord, please be with the rescue workers and keep them safe as they make heroic efforts in dangerous situations to rescue those in trouble.
Lord, please be with everyone waiting to be rescued, keep them safe, and bring help to them soon.
God, bless each and every person affected by this storm and surround them with Your love, protection, and angels.
Let them know there are millions of us out here praying for them and their loved ones.
We give You all the praise and glory forever, Lord, and know that even in the darkest hours, You are always with us.

Taal Volcano is not yet done erupting. From Jan 12- present. My friends and I gathered with a small amount of collection to help them atleast.

Yesterday January 19, 2020 We visited atleast 3 barangay. There is no single word to express your feelings when you see them. We heard nothing but “THANK YOU for your FOOD”.

Hope to visit more affected areas.

Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. It’s important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It’s the way in which we ourselves grow and develop.
